Snoqualmie city council adds new Meet & Greets to interact more with community members

According to the City of Snoqualmie, city council members will soon start holding Meet & Greets at their first meeting each month.

The new ‘meet and greets’ would fall on the second Monday of each month from 6:15PM to 6:55PM, ending right before the council meeting begins at 7PM.

A city announcement said the purpose of the new Meet & Greets is to “talk casually with Snoqualmie residents and business owners.”

The inaugural Meet & Greet happens at the council’s next meeting on Monday, July 8th at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 SE River Street.

During these Meet and Greets, the public ‘can ask questions about topics of interest to them and get to know city council members.’

Councilmember Sean Sundwall said the addition of the monthly meet and greets is “100% about being able to interact in a meaningful way with citizens that the normal format of a city council meeting doesn’t allow.”

Sundwall is a member of the council’s three-person ad hoc committee charged with generating ideas to connect more with the community.
