Updates to North Bend’s Parks Element are one step from final adoption after a unanimous council vote on August 18th. Formal approval is expected in November with the rest of the 2026 comprehensive plan update.
Council members thanked city staff, the Parks Commission, the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe, and residents who weighed in. The approved updates include Tribe docket requests, changes from public comments, and revisions tied to a park impact-fee study the city has underway with consultant FCS Group/Bowman.

Residents, groups, and others can still request changes to the comprehensive plan or development rules for the 2027 cycle. Proposals are due by 4:30 p.m. Oct. 15.
How to propose a change:
- Read North Bend’s Comprehensive Plan (start on the city’s public participation page).
- Check the development rules in North Bend Municipal Code.
- Look at the process in NBMC 20.08.
- Submit the 2027 Docket Form.
