Police Blotter | Unlawful poop tossing; stranded at the Falls; bonfire approach; sneaker thief

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie in late October:

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | MELROSE LN, Snoqualmie

On October 28th around 9PM two callers reported hearing what sounded like 7-9 gunshots coming from the area of Snoqualmie Parkway and Fury Street.  It was determined the shots were coming from the coal mine road area which is a county shooting zone.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  MAPLE AVE, Snoqualmie

On October 28th around 11PM a caller reported that a man in his 40’s had approached him during an outdoor bonfire they were having at their home, warning them that he had locked his keys inside his vehicle and needed to break the window to get in – which the man did and then left. An hour later the man returned and parked in front of the caller’s home – and then left again. An officer located the vehicle and driver. The man was detained, given a citation for driving without a license. He was released after finding his identification.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | TAYLOR PL, North Bend 

On October 29th around 8:30AM a caller reported seeing a man rip open plastic on a window of a home under construction and dive through the window.  An officer responded and discovered the man in question was part of a painting crew working on the home.

CIVIL PROBLEM | SE 10TH PL, North Bend 

On October 29th around 12:30PM a caller reported their neighbor was throwing dog poop onto their property. An officer contacted the neighbor who was throwing the feces over his fence and onto the private driveway. The man argued it was his property. The officer advised him the driveway was a shared easement and the poop tossing was unlawful per RCW9.66.050. The man said he would stop.

BURGLARY REPORT | SYDNEY AVE, North Bend 

On October 30th at 8:30AM a caller reported the window to their garage was broken and the door to the garage was left open.  An officer responded and determined someone might have possibly entered the garage, but nothing was taken and no suspect information was known.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS |  FAMOUS FOOTWEAR, North Bend  Outlet Mall 

On October 30th at 5:30PM a caller reported that a man had stolen a pair of white converse – tucking the shoes in his pants – exited the store and then ran into the nearby Pendleton Store. Mall security tried to track the suspect, but lost sight of him. An officer checked other stores but was unable to locate the sneaker thief.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | Snoqualmie Falls , Snoqualmie 

On October 31st at 2:15PM a caller reported a female sitting in a black SUV in the upper parking lot with all doors open and blocking other vehicles. The caller said the woman was yelling at them that her boyfriend had taken the keys and left. An officer responded and contacted the subject who was then in the gift shop. Salish Lodge staff had also contacted her and requested she leave, but she refused. Things were resolved when her boyfriend said he would come and give her the keys so she could leave.
