Updated: Police and Fire Blotters Discontinued: What’s Next for Snoqualmie and North Bend

Update: Today, the City of Snoqualmie released its June fire statistics, the first example of the monthly call volume data the city said would replace the discontinued blotters. The release breaks down the fire department’s 178 calls for the month by category and notes mutual aid responses outside city limits.

Firefighters responded to 178 calls in June 2026:

-52% Medical β€” everything from slips and falls to cardiac arrests

-27% Non-Emergency β€” canceled calls, false/accidental alarms

-14% Public Service β€”elevator rescue, tree on vehicle, smoke in the area checks

-4% Fire β€” residential & commercial

-3% Hazardous Situations

Crews also lent a hand outside city limits at a 2-alarm commercial fire in Redmond on June 3 and a residential fire on Reinig Rd. on June 1.

For years, Snoqualmie and North Bend residents could follow local public safety activity through police and fire blotters published by the City of Snoqualmie, which at the time provided police services to both Snoqualmie and North Bend. The last blotters were published in December 2025.

That changed in April, when the two cities’ police services formally separated. North Bend now has its own police department contracted through the King County Sheriff’s Office, while Snoqualmie’s department serves Snoqualmie alone.

The blotters did not survive the transition. The links that previously appeared on the City of Snoqualmie’s Police Department and Fire Department webpages have been removed, and after a June 3 inquiry about the blotters and a follow-up on June 29, City of Snoqualmie Communications Coordinator Scott Harder confirmed the change in an email: “You are correct, blotters are going away. What we will start providing is call volumes and statistics at the end of each month. These will be published on the website and social media.”

In North Bend, the situation is somewhat different. Before the transition, residents were told they could expect increased transparency and more trackable public safety data. In an interview with Living Snoqualmie, North Bend’s new police chief, Ed Hall, said that compiling detailed statistics isn’t feasible for him right now, given current staffing, but that it’s something he’d be happy to do once he has the personnel.

In the meantime, he pointed residents to the King County Sheriff’s Office website, which includes links to each of its contract cities and a dashboard of monthly statistics. The dashboard allows users to look back beyond a single month and includes a heat map showing where calls are originating. According to the chief, the only calls excluded are those involving sensitive information or open investigations; routine incidents such as car prowls and vehicle thefts are included.

Using that dashboard, we’ve compiled a limited North Bend police blotter for June.

Until then, we’ll provide monthly updates on North Bend calls for service using data from the King County Sheriff’s Office dashboard.
