Getting Ready for the City of North Bend’s New Trash Collection Service: Key Dates and Useful Info

Starting on April 1, the City of North Bend will begin a new contract with Recology King County for picking up trash, recycling, and garden waste for those living in the city.

If you own property in North Bend, you might be curious about how to prepare for these changes. Keep reading for some handy resources and dates you should know.

Key Dates to Remember

  • Starting February 2nd: North Bend announced that Recology will have different rates for its trash disposal services. You can see this announcement on the city’s website under Public Notices or find more details in our article here.
  • From February 16th: If you own property in the city, you should have gotten a mailer with pricing and other info about the new service.
  • By February 29th: Property owners will get mail about when their trash, recycling, and garden waste will be picked up, with these changes starting from April 1.
  • After March 18th: You can change your service or sign up for a new service with Recology.
  • April 1st: Recology’s new services start.

Recology Store: People living in North Bend can visit the Recology Store in Issaquah. The store teaches about being eco-friendly, lets you recycle things you can’t leave at the curb, and offers in-person help.
