After Months-Long Vacancy, Snoqualmie Appoints Award-Winning City Clerk

Snoqualmie has appointed Kimberly Agfalvi as its new City Clerk, formalizing the role during the April 14 City Council meeting, where she took the oath of office.

Recently named Outstanding Clerk of the Year by the Washington Municipal Clerks Association, she fills a position that has been vacant since early January 2026.

Before coming to Snoqualmie, Agfalvi served as City Clerk and Records Officer for the City of Orting, where she spent nearly seven years in that role and the past two years as Assistant City Administrator.

Her background also includes more than 20 years in office administration, with experience in city records custodianship, financial administration, and council support. Outside of work, she is married with two sons, loves outdoor activities, and is an avid reader.

In her new role, she will focus on Council meeting preparation and support, City records custodianship, public records request management, and legal document routing and filing. The Deputy City Clerk has been performing those duties with support from a temporary assistant.

City officials said top priorities in filling the role included expertise in Council meeting preparation and support, records management, public records requests, legal document routing and filing, and staff training on agenda management and records policies. They noted Agfalvi met those needs and stood out among candidates.

Looking ahead, the City said its goal is to provide strong City Clerk functionality to residents and the broader community. The position is structured to ensure the City’s records, legal documents, and legislative processes are managed with accuracy and transparency.
