All Aboard: New Snoqualmie Valley Wine Train rolls out this spring

The Northwest Railway Museum is rolling out a new excursion on its popular train this spring – this time for the 21 and over crowd. The Snoqualmie Valley Wine Train will run on two Saturdays: April 14th and  May 19th at 3PM.

The Northwest Railway Museum says participants can explore Snoqualmie and enjoy a relaxing, scenic train excursion and sample local wine and food. Participating Valley wineries include: Sigillo Cellars, Convergence Zone, & Mt Si Winery.

Tickets need to be pre-ordered at www.trainmuseum.org. The run $35/person. If you wait until event day the price increases to $40/person. The event includes three tastings and food at different locations.

The Wine Train begins at the historic Snoqualmie Depot, where ticket holders will sample local food and wine, then board the train and enjoy a scenic excursion to the Northwest Railway Museum’s Train Shed Exhibit Building to see railway history exhibits, including full-sized cars & locomotives. At the Train Shed, participants will enjoy another food and wine tasting, and can take in music from local band, Tinkham Road.

Another short scenic train ride brings participants to a beautiful overlook at the top of Snoqualmie Falls and then to the Snoqualmie Falls Hydroelectric Museum for the third tasting. Afterwards, the train returns participants to the Snoqualmie Depot.

Advance ticket sales only; 21+ event. For more info call (425) 888-3030 or visit www.TrainMuseum.org.
