Work Happening On Part of North Bend Way, Rough Road Conditions Expected

Drivers heading Westbound on Southeast North Bend Way, crossing the new roundabout at the intersection of 436th Avenue SE, can expect some rough road conditions for a few days this week.

This will occur in the westbound lane, near the Applied Professional Services (APS) business, located at 43530 SE North Bend Way.

Work will include the demolition of existing pavement, installing gravel road base, and placement of the base lift of asphalt on Friday, March 25th.

Final paving of the roundabout is not anticipated for approximately another month to ensure optimum paving conditions. Slower traffic, short delays and noise should be anticipated.

The developer-funded roundabout is being constructed to mitigate potential future traffic impacts as part of the Cedar River Partners project, a multi-family housing development built at 436th Avenue SE and SE North Bend Way.

No tax dollars are being spent on this traffic improvement project. To learn more about this and other development projects in North Bend, visit the Current and Proposed Development Projects Within the City Limits map, located at www.northbendwa.gov

The City apologizes for any inconveniences this work may cause and thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
