UPDATE 9:07 pm: The semi-fire on I-90 near SR 18 (MP 28) is now blocking the right lane; traffic is getting through in the left three lanes. Emergency crews work to clean up the scene. Please slow down & pay attention as they continue to work. Traffic backup is still about 3 miles
On Friday, April 26th, 2024, at approximately 630 pm, Eastside Fire & Rescue and Snoqualmie Fire crews responded to a semi-fire on WB I-90 near MP 28.
Multiple lanes are closed for the response. Responders are asking drivers to please avoid the area. The traffic backup is 5 miles.
This fire is generating a large smoke column. The driver was able to exit the vehicle.
As of 700 p.m., the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reports blocking all lanes.
