The funding is needed for SVT to continue its current level of bus service throughout the Snoqualmie Valley. Community support letters will be included in the grant application.
Riders are encouraged to explain in their own words what SVT service means to them, how they use the buses and how losing or reducing service would affect their daily lives. Business owners can describe how public transportation affects their employees, customers or clients. Letters should include the writer’s name and city and be signed.
Letters can be mailed to:
Amy Biggs
Snoqualmie Valley Transportation
PO Box 806
North Bend, WA 98045
Comments can also be submitted through the SVT Contact Us page, given to an SVT driver or emailed to [email protected] with “Support” in the subject line.
SVT says the letters will help demonstrate the importance of the service as the organization works to secure continued state funding.
Snoqualmie Valley Transportation is also asking riders to complete two short surveys as part of its grant process. One focuses on SVT service, while the other covers the Valley Shuttle, which SVT operates for King County Metro.
Metro will use the feedback to determine whether to continue funding the Valley Shuttle. Riders are encouraged to complete both surveys, which take about five minutes total.

SVT provides transportation throughout the Valley for people traveling to jobs, shopping, medical appointments, post offices, libraries, schools and other destinations.
