Snoqualmie Valley School District Closed For A Third Snow Day – Thursday, January 19th

Fresh off the heals of two consecutive snow days,  SVSD officials just announced , “Due to inclement weather and road conditions all Snoqualmie Valley School District schools will be closed again on Thursday, January 19th.”

Having just driven a short distance in freezing rain, and with close to a foot of snow on the ground, it sounds like a good call.

Finals week at the high school has been tweaked.  Mount Si High School will extend the semester and Finals Week to accommodate any “no school days.”   The finals schedule will be revised as follows:

  • 1st full day back: Language Arts/World Languages/CTE
  • 2nd full day back: Social Studies/Science
  • 3rd full day back: Math/PE/Arts/TSE
  • The school will not have finals on Friday.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures to hover in the upper 20’s overnight, setting the stage for an icy and messy commute tomorrow.  Stay warm – and parents, stay sane!
