King County Seeks Public Input on Flood-Resilient Snoqualmie Valley Routes

Two potential routes that could reduce traffic disruptions during Snoqualmie Valley flooding are under review, with a public survey open November 2–20, 2026.

Launched in December 2022, the Cross Valley Study initially examined four existing roads and bridges that cross the Snoqualmie River.

In October 2024, the County completed the first phase of the feasibility study, which identified NE Tolt Hill Road and NE 124th Street for further evaluation. The current phase assesses those two routes in more detail to determine which best balances safety, environmental impacts, cost, community priorities, and flood reliability.

The County is conducting the survey to find out which factors matter most to residents. The survey is available at KingCounty.gov/Roads/Cross-Valley-Study.

Residents can visit the project website to learn more about the advantages and tradeoffs of each route and review how all four original roads were evaluated. The County will consider public feedback when selecting a preferred route.
