Snoqualmie Casino receives Top 5 recognition for Best Places to Work by Puget Sound Business Journal

Since its grand opening in November 2008, the Snoqualmie Casino has created a great place to work. Now they’ve received top five recognition for Washington’s Best Workplaces by Puget Sound Business Journal in the extra-large category.

The companies ranked among Washington’s best extra-large workplaces collectively employ 8,026 people full time in the state. To quantify the best workplaces, thousands of employees are surveyed throughout the state. The companies are scored in 30 items across six categories, including trust in leadership and team dynamics. Companies that made the list had the highest composite scores in an employee survey administered by Quantum Workplaces on behalf of the Puget Sound Business Journal.

“To be recognized as a top workplace in Washington State is something we are very proud of,” says Snoqualmie Casino Interim CEO Stanford Le. “We pride ourselves in creating a culture of open dialogue, free flow of ideas and development.”

Last recognized by the journal in 2018, when it placed 21st, the casino received a score of 90.18, with 896 regular full-time employees, 89 regular part-time employees, and 15 on-call employees in Washington State. The annual survey looks at various ways in which employees are satisfied at their job, including, but not limited to, relationships with management and other employees and everyday office perks.

The largest private employer in the Valley, those of us who live here, know full well the casino’s good work for their employees. After the tragic loss of two casino team members during their morning commute, the casino launched an SR 18 commuter shuttle to transport employees safely on the dangerous highway.

Even during the Covid-19 crisis, the Snoqualmie Casino continued to cover wages and benefits for its team members, saying, “The health and well-being of our guests, team, and community takes precedence over anything else.”
