Snoqualmie Casino named one of Washington’s Best Workplaces by Puget Sound Business Journal

One of the Snoqualmie Valley’s biggest employers – Snoqualmie Casino – announced last week that the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) had recognized it as one Washington’s Best Workplaces in 2018.

Companies are nominated and then PSBJ assesses all nominees. The publication then selected 100 companies to represent their list this year, based on various employee benefit offerings, leadership culture and gratifying job engagement.

“Being selected as one of Washington’s Best Workplaces is a pinnacle achievement as we approach our 10th anniversary,” said Brian Decorah, president and CEO of Snoqualmie Casino. “Our goal is to provide our team with careers they are proud of; with outstanding pay, a supportive and fun work environment and great benefits.”

The process to assess nominated companies includes surveying hundreds of nominee-company employees across the state to identify what makes their company culture special. Key metrics are evaluated including Compensation; Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-life Balance; and Community Initiatives. Winners are pooled by the respective size of their workforces, with Snoqualmie Casino categorized with more than 250 full-time workers.

According to Michelle Valdez, Public Relations Supervisor, this is the first time Snoqualmie Casino has made the list – and they’re very excited. She said they will find exactly where they landed in the rankings at a special ceremony on August 16th. The complete list will then be published in the Puget Sound Business Journal the following day.

The Snoqualmie Casino employees approximately 1,100 people.
