Police Investigating Possible Attempted Child Luring Incident in North Bend, WA

The Snoqualmie/North Bend Police Department responded on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at approximately 3:41 pm to a possible attempted child luring incident at Torguson Park at 750 E North Bend Way in North Bend, WA. during a busy softball tournament.

A mother called 911 to report a suspicious male subject in the park who attempted to have her five-year-old son walk away with him after giving him a toy.

A friend of the child’s mother intervened, and the male suspect left the area on a bicycle on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail.

The suspect was described as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s with long dark-colored hair and a skinny build who had been hanging around making people uncomfortable. An extensive area check was conducted; however, the suspect was not located.

The Snoqualmie Police Department would like to hear about anything anyone might have seen that day, “Even the smallest detail may lead us in a different direction in our investigation,” said Captain Brian Lynch.
