North Bend Mountain Valley Shopping Center gets new local owner

On September 26, 2019 Sno Falls Credit Union closed a transaction to become the new owner of phase 2 of the Mountain Valley Shopping Center in North Bend.

The credit union has been a tenant in the center since February 2016, operating a credit union branch, as well as Sno Falls Licensing in the location. With this transaction, Sno Falls now owns the space that also includes Adair Homes, Trapper’s Sushi, H&R Block, and two empty locations – previously a tanning salon and a liquor store.

Starting immediately, Sno Falls plans to divide the former liquor store spot into two separate spaces, one of which it will use to create a credit union office for its management team and back office functions.

Work has already begun to freshen up the appearance of the plaza, including landscaping, painting and improvements to the empty lot that sits at the entrance of the center.

“When we became aware of the opportunity to make this purchase, we knew that it made sense for us” says SFCU President/CEO Timothy Williams. “The North Bend area is growing so rapidly and is already our busiest branch location. This transaction allows us to plan for our future as well as play a bigger role in the North Bend community. We are excited to make improvements to the center and hope to attract new tenants to fill those empty spaces that will bring growth to the community.”

  • Thanks to the Snoqualmie American Legion Post 79 and the Managers of the Center the three flags – the US, the Canadian and the Washington State – have all been replaced and were the only flags lowered in North Bend on Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day last Sunday. Legion voluneers ensure that these flags are lowered whenever there is a directive or proclamation.
