Longtime City Clerk Jodi Warren named Railroad Days Parade Grand Marshal

A familiar face to many, and longtime Snoqualmie City Clerk, Jodi Warren was named 2018 Railroad Days parade grand marshal, selected by the Northwest Railway Museum which hosts the annual Railroad Days celebration.

“It’s an incredible honor to be selected and an honor to lead the parade,” Warren said. “I take great pride in serving citizens and helping make a difference in their lives, and in a community I’ve watched grow over the years.”

Warren is the longest serving city clerk in Snoqualmie history, having been in this role for 22 years. Prior to her work for the city, she worked in the public sector for an additional 12 years. A certified paralegal, she earned the designation of Master Municipal Clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and is a Certified Public Records official.

Warren was instrumental in developing the City of Snoqualmie Citizen’s Academy, which offers citizens a close-up look at city government. She has also served as volunteer coordinator for more than 10 years, managing an annual volunteer recognition dinner.

Jodi’s family is a also big motivation for her and she is excited that her three children and their spouses will attend the parade – AND her six grandkids will even join her on the parade route.

The Snoqualmie Railroad Days parade happens Saturday, August 18th at 11AM in downtown Snoqualmie.

Railroad Days, an annual festival in Snoqualmie celebrating Trains, Timber, and Tradition, was originally organized by volunteer firefighters in 1939. Today, the Northwest Railway Museum hosts thousands of visitors for the annual event.
