Early Learners get Literacy Curriculum and Resources-Thanks to a partnership with foundry10 and the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation

The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation announces a new partnership with foundry10. foundry10’s School Districts team is partnering with Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation to increase access to literacy curriculum and resources at their preschool and elementary schools. This will allow schools to better address education access gaps for the students they serve, improve academic performance, and provide additional teaching resources to educators.

The SVSD Early Learning Center (ELC) is slated to open in the Fall of 2025 in North Bend. This facility will be home to SVSD preschool and daycare programs, expanding the capacity to serve families in the district and consolidating the focus for early childhood education. The new center will provide preschool services to students who qualify for special education (approximately 100–120 preschool students) as well as daycare to 20–30 children for SVSD staff families. The addition of full-day preschool is also facilitated by this new building. Funding from foundry10 will provide $50,000 to purchase literacy support materials and library materials for the new space, as well as additional materials for SVSD’s elementary literacy needs (K–5).

“We are excited to embark on this new partnership with foundry10,” says SVSF President, Lorraine Thurston. “Early childhood literacy support is key to student success, and SVSF is dedicated to ensuring all students have the opportunity to become strong readers. This new support from foundry10 will allow us to continue our dedication to literacy.”
