Daytime Lane Closures Planned on SR 202 and SR 203 Near Fall City and Carnation

Two weeks of daytime single-lane closures with alternating traffic are planned along State Route 202 in Fall City and SR 203 near Carnation for guardrail work starting Monday, Nov. 9.

What to expect
Single-lane closures are planned between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, Nov. 9-13 and Nov. 16-20, in the following locations:

  • SR 202 and Southeast Fish Hatchery Road between 356th Drive Southeast and 361st Avenue Southeast in Fall City
  • SR 203 at 324th Way Northeast south of Carnation
  • SR 203 at Northeast Carnation Farm Road north of Carnation

Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zones, all of which will not be active at the same time. These lane reductions could be rescheduled due to rain.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation built four fish-passable structures along SR 202 and 203 in 2023 and 2024 as part of a regional project to improve fish habitat beneath state highways. Crews will update guardrails at all four locations during the lane reductions.

Real-time traffic information is available on the WSDOT mobile app and the real-time travel map.
