Community event remembers 15th Anniversary of 9/11 with special Performances

The community is invited to a special, local event this weekend honoring the September 11th anniversary.

Snoqualmie Valley Alliance (SVA) is honoring the 15th anniversary of 9/11 in a special way this Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11AM – with a special performance from Austin Jenckes, as well as the Eastside Honor Guard… remembering and honoring the 3,000 lives lost on 2001.

Jenckes, a Duvall native singer songwriter, made the national spotlight in 2013 on The Voice – and has always a big following in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Following the 11AM performances there will be a community open house, a barbecue, kid games and bouncy houses – just a lot of family fun staring at 12PM.

And for you Seahawks fans…. if you want to stick around until 1PM, you won’t miss any of the Seahawks home opener action because SVA will be playing the game live on all of their big screens.  Plus at half-time, and after the game,  Austin Jenckes will hist the stage again for more performances!

SVA is located at 36017 SE Fish Hatchery Road in Fall City.

  1. And also be sure your local federal, state, and city offices comply with this! Last year most of them failed to comply. Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Sunday, September 11, 2016, for national Patriot Day, the annual memorial to the victims of the 2001 tragedy.
The Governor’s Office has no objection to agencies lowering the flags at the close of business on Friday, September 9, 2016. Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on September 11, 2016, or first thing Monday morning, September 12, 2016.
Please notify all of your field offices and facilities around the state.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
Please call (360) 239-1317 if you have any questions about this flag lowering.
