Yearly Warning: Low flying jet over Snoqualmie Valley signals start of Boeing Classic, August 24th

This is your yearly reminder that a Boeing jet will be flying LOW over the Snoqualmie Valley, signaling the start of the 14th annual Boeing Classic golf tournament, which is a PGA Champions Tour stop.

On Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:20AM, a Boeing jet will fly over the 18th Fairway and Club House of The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge (formerly TPC Snoqualmie Ridge). The first players will tee off about five minutes later.

The large jet flies pretty low – going over the course at about 1,000 feet – and each year takes some residents by surprise and wondering what the heck is going on.

The Boeing Classic runs August 24th – August 26th and usually draws hundreds of golf fans to the Snoqualmie Valley.

Tournament activities include Family Day on Saturday, August 25, with children 14 and under accompanied by a paid adult receiving free admission. Family activities will take place from 10 am-1 pm and all fans can follow their favorite PGA Tour pros around the course from 9 am-4 pm. Sunday, August 26 is Military Appreciation Day, with free admission and parking for active, retired, and reserve military and their dependents with ID.
