The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking information on a two car, hit and run collision involving a WSP patrol vehicle that occurred Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at approximately 11:15AM.
The suspect vehicle, a white Saturn passenger car (possibly a station wagon), was reportedly driving the wrong direction on I-90 before making a turn at the SR 18/I-90 interchange and striking the WSP patrol truck. The suspect vehicle was also observed driving the wrong way on SR 18 right after the collision.
The Saturn sustained severe front-end damage and then eventually fled the scene westbound on SR 18. It was last observed traveling on SR 18 near Auburn. WSP says based on the bumper recovered from the collision scene, the vehicle it’s looking for may have previously been maroon and then painted white.
State Patrol detectives are asking anyone that may have information regarding the collision to call Detective Sergeant Stacey Moate at 425-401-7745 or stacey.moate@wsp.wa.gov.
