‘Wildcats Got Talent’ Crowns 2014 Winners; SnoValley Idol Junior Finals Tonight

Thursday, March 27, 2014 was a fun evening in the Mount Si High School auditorium as some very talented students showcased themselves in the 2014 ‘Wildcats Got Talent’ Competition. 19 acts competed and five made the final cuts.

Top 5 Wildcat Got Talent Finishers:

  • Lydia Petroske and Maile Young, who sang a parody of ‘American Pie’ called ‘Chinese Salamanders.’
  • Kaitlyn Rogers, who performed an artistic unicycle routine to ‘All that Jazz’ from Chicago.
  • 3rd Place: Connor Drake, who played his own piano composition.
  • 2nd Place: Kennedy Stinson, who played piano and performed her own song, ‘The Fighter,’ dedicated to her sister.
  • 1st Place: Alex Kilian, Morgan Myers, Natalie Werner and Judy Zhu, who performed the Beatle hit, ‘Black Bird,’ a cappella.

Audience members selected the winners.  Proceeds raised from the competition went to the senior class to help with their Grad Night Celebration and Prom.

SnoValley Idol Junior Competition, March 28th

The Snoqualmie Valley is also home to a lot of younger talent, too, and tonight is your chance to see it up close.

The finals of the 2014 SnoValley Idol Junior contest happens, Friday, March 28th, 6PM, at Mount Si High School. A panel of judges will crown the 2014 champion, with the audience voting for the ‘People’s Choice Award’ from all the finalists.

The contest is sponsored by the Si View Metropolitan Parks District.  Admission is $5.

This year’s finalist are Trinity Baunsgard, Julian Betz, Jessica Conlon, Hillary Curd, Lily Garrity, Piper Hawley, Catalina Jarocki, Autumn Kasprowicz, Isabella Mariani, Maddie Nowicki, Hannah Oberg and Jacy Scott Laakso.
