West Bound I-90 Speed Limit Temporarily Reduced Between North Bend And Snoqualmie Starting Tuesday, May 29th

Here’s a heads up to those of you who regularly (and sporadically) travel between North Bend and Snoqualmie on I-90. Drivers using westbound I-90 near North Bend and Snoqualmie will face a temporary speed limit reduction beginning Tuesday, May 29th.

Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation are repaving the westbound I-90 bridge deck over SR 18 – near the Snoqualmie Parkway Exit 25.  Because of narrowed lanes and shoulders, the speed limit between mileposts 28 and 25 will be reduced from 70 to 60 miles per hour. T his change, which is enforceable by the Washington State Patrol, will be in effect until Sunday, June 10th.  Signs along the stretch of I-90 notify drivers of the change.

In addition to the speed limit reduction, crews will reduce westbound I-90 near SR 18 to two lanes around-the-clock. Combined with the speed reduction, traffic may be congested along this stretch of the freeway.  For more information on the project, please visit: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/I90/SR18BridgeDeckRehab/.
