Wednesday Night Drowning in the Snoqualmie River Near Fall City

According to Sergeant Eric White, Public Information Officer for the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), at approximately 725 pm Wednesday, July 26th, KCSO Communications Center received a 911 call about a missing swimmer/possible drowning at the address of 34920 SE David Powell Road. 

Several KCSO Patrol Units, KCSO Marine Units, along with the Fire Department were dispatched to the area to assist with locating the subject. 

After arrival, the subject was located and pulled out of the water.  However, life-saving measures failed to revive the person, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name is not being disclosed yet out of respect for the family. 

The victim’s body will be taken by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will confirm the victim’s identity and release the name at a later date.
