Wednesday Morning House Fire in North Bend

At approximately 830 am on Wednesday, July 20, 2022,  multiple agencies responded to a working structure fire in the 1500 block of NW 8th St in North Bend.

Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R), Snoqualmie Fire Department and Emergency Management, and Fall City Fire Department all responded to the house fire in the area of Nintendo. Large clouds of smoke could be seen from many areas of the valley.

Reportedly a resident was home at the time of the fire with their dog; both were able to leave home safely.

The home has a long windy driveway that required a hose lay of over 1000 feet to get to the nearest hydrant. EF&R crews were, however, prepared with extra resources as many homes in the unincorporated King County area have similar set-ups.

EF&R spokesperson Catherine Breault says the home is a total loss, and crews will be there most of the day, ensuring the fire does not re-ignite.
