Today’s Forecast from the KOMO News Weather Department:

Updated, Monday, March 4th  6:45 AM

Good Morning!

It’s a clear but COLD start to the workweek! We’re waking up to temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s across much of the region — so bundle up as you head out the door. Factor that in with some freezing fog in the Southwest Interior (Olympia, Tumwater, DuPont, etc.) — watch out for some black ice on the roads.

The chill in the air won’t last long, as mostly sunny skies will help get those temperatures in the low to mid 50s by the time we head into the afternoon. It’s all due to a nice ridge of high pressure that’s over us — although it’ll be a short-lived one. Look for increasing clouds tonight as a series of systems head our way.

We’ll wake up to scattered showers on Tuesday as snow levels drop to 2,500-3,000′. This isn’t a major storm — just light rain that sticks around through Wednesday. Another ridge builds in, giving us drier conditions for the end of the workweek and into the weekend.

So, a little something for everyone as Spring is only 15 days away!

Long range models are keeping our weather patterns “showery” into next week.
