There’s some fun things happening around Snoqualmie this weekend; everything from water fights, history lessons, pancakes, Railroad Days, fun runs, outdoor art. Pretty much, it seems there is something for everyone. So grab your sunscreen, water bottles – and possibly your appetite – and enjoy one (or more) or them.
WATER FIGHT at the Snoqualmie YMCA
I can’t think of a better idea for a family fun night on a 95 degree day. Hit the Y’s parking lot tonight, August 17th, between 6PM and 7:30PM for water balloon toss, drip, drip, drop, water bucket relays and more. It’s free for members and $10 for non-member families.
Learn Snoqualmie Valley History From the Master Himself, Dave Battey
Saturday, August 18th 10AM-2PM at the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA. You won’t be disappointed! Using historic photographs from the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Society, Dave Battey shares a PowerPoint history of the City of Snoqualmie from the ice age through the 1950s. Cataclysmic beginnings, Native Americans, early settlers, the growth of logging and agriculture, the coming of the railroads and much more. There is amazing history to the valley. I think you’ll be surprised at what you learn.
