Washington State Patrol Reestablishes North Bend Detachment to Enhance Snoqualmie Valley Coverage

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) has re-established a new detachment assigned to the North Bend/Snoqualmie Pass.

The North Bend Detachment was abolished in 2007, and coverage of Snoqualmie Pass was handled out of the Bellevue Office until November 2023.

The Sergeant and troopers working in this new detachment are now working out of an office located at the Fire Training Academy located off exit 38 on I-90.

Ultimately, they hope to have eight (8) troopers and a sergeant dedicated to this detachment once fully staffed (six troopers will be assigned to it before Winter 2024).

Captain Ron Mead, commander of Field Operations within King County, commented, “It is hoped that the re-establishment of the North Bend Detachment provides the commuters over Snoqualmie Pass and the residents of the Snoqualmie Valley the dedicated WSP presence they deserve, and which has been lacking along this important corridor for far too long.”

Please join the WSP for an open house tomorrow, October 11, 2024, at 2:30 pm to celebrate this milestone.
