California has In & Out. New York has Shake Shack. Seattle has Dick’s Drive In.
And if you want to see a Dick’s Drive In closer to the Snoqualmie Valley, here’s your chance to have a say. Just like when Dick’s opened its last location in Edmonds in 2011, Seattle’s iconic burger joint will again let voters decide if their newest location is on the Eastside or in the Southend.
If you vote East then the new Dick’s could end up in Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Sammamish, Woodinville, etc. A vote South could land it in West Seattle, South Seattle, Renton, Burien, SeaTac, Tukwila, Kent, Auburn, Normandy Park, Des Moines, Federal Way, etc.
Voting opened March 6th and runs through March 24th and can be done on the Dick’s Drive In website HERE.
In the first two days the online survey got almost 200,000 responses – and so many within hours of the announcement that the website crashed. According to Dick’s Drive In, you can vote twice per email address and they “never” sell your email to third parties.
In a TV news interview last week Dick’s Drive In management said they recognize that many customers developed a love for their burgers while growing up in Seattle or attending the University of Washington – and that many of those customers now live in Seattle’s suburbs.
So they decided once again to let those people choose their next location.
