Twin Falls Middle School Secures Assistant Principal, Still Without Head Principal

Wednesday, July 16, 2014, the Snoqualmie Valley School District announced former Mount Si High School teacher, Jeff D’Ambrosio, was named the new Assistant Principal of Twin Falls Middle School, filling the position vacated by Monica Phillips who recently moved on to become the principal of Fall City Elementary.  The district said D’Ambrosio was selected from a pool of 36 qualified candidates.

D’Ambrosio taught Social Studies at Mount Si  for six years and also finished his administrative internship there in 2011-12. For the past two years he was an Associate Principal at Mercer Island High School.

According to the SVSD announcement, D’Ambrosio holds a Master’s Degree in Education and Principal Certificate from Seattle Pacific University. Earlier in his career he was a special education teacher at Eastside Catholic High School.

Twin Falls is still without a head principal – since Marty Barber resigned earlier this month to become an assistant principal at Tahoma High School in Maple Valley.

The district says “progress continues toward filling the…position this summer” and they are “working to share more news on this leadership role.”

The Twin Falls principal position is not listed on the district website, which could mean the district is working to fill the position from within its current staff. SVSD officials did not comment on that, though.
