Beginning the week of November 1st, a small section of 436th Ave SE – between SE Cedar Falls Way and SE North Bend Way – will close for several weeks as crews continue work on a privately-funded roundabout at the intersection of North Bend Way and 436th.
This work is weather-dependent and subject to change. Residents of the immediate project vicinity should anticipate noise and vibration during construction.
Detour routes will be marked along North Bend Way and Cedar Falls Way in the project area. Local access for residents of 436th Ave SE will be provided.
The west end of SE Tanner Road at the intersection of 436th Ave SE will remain permanently closed while the roundabout is constructed. As part of the project, a new access road will be built approximately 400 feet east of the current intersection of 436th Ave SE and SE North Bend Way to connect the west end of Tanner Road to North Bend Way.
Traffic control will be provided at all times during roundabout construction. Drivers should anticipate single-lane closures and short delays. The City of North Bend and Unincorporated King County residents living east of 436th Ave SE/Exit 32 are encouraged to utilize I-90 and 468th Ave SE/Exit 34 as an alternate route to reduce construction-related delays.
The City apologizes for any inconveniences caused by this traffic improvement project and thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
