Traffic Alert: North Bend Street Closures This Weekend for UW Collegiate Cycling Races

The City of North Bend will be host to the University of Washington Bike Races this weekend, April 6th & 7th.

The UW Cycling Road Race and Criterium (Crit) will be held on Sunday, April 7th, in downtown North Bend. This short course, or Crit, bike race will be held on closed streets in the heart of Downtown North Bend.

The event will bring more than a dozen collegiate cycling teams and 2,000 racers, featuring some of the top cyclists from across the country.

Streets will be completely closed for this event. The streets affected are:

  • East 2nd and 3rd Street between Main Ave North
  • Ballarat Ave N
  • Janet Avenue North
  • Downing Ave N

Vehicular access to driveways on these streets will be restricted and no parking on the streets will be allowed in order to make this race safe. All parked cars shall be moved off the street no later than 7AM on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Residents are encouraged to visit Downtown North Bend on Sunday and see the Collegiate Cycling Teams in action!
