Three Injured in Suspected DUI Rollover Crash on I-90 Near Preston

A single-vehicle rollover crash on westbound I-90 near milepost 22 injured three men and blocked the roadway for more than four hours on Monday, May 26, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The crash occurred at approximately 8:21 a.m. when a white 2003 GMC Savana van lost control in lane three, struck the left embankment, and rolled. The van came to rest on its roof in the same lane.

All three occupants of the van were injured. One man, age 25 and from Chicago, Illinois, was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Overlake Hospital. Two other men were treated at the scene. Seatbelt use was unknown for one and confirmed for the other.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, is suspected of driving under the influence and may face charges of suspected DUI and vehicular assault. Drugs or alcohol are listed as a factor in the incident report.

The van was totaled and towed from the scene by Ibsen Bellevue Towing. The crash blocked lane three for approximately four hours and thirty-two minutes.
