Work is scheduled to begin the week of September 2 on a project that will enhance connectivity and improve pedestrian safety along Thrasher Avenue NE.
Contractor crews from Fury SiteWorks will build a new sidewalk on the east side of the roadway, along with curb, gutter, and stormwater upgrades.
The Thrasher Avenue project is one of four Sidewalk Gap Removal efforts scheduled for completion this fall, aimed at filling in missing sections of sidewalk or repairing damaged ones across North Bend. In addition to the new sidewalk, residents can look forward to pedestrian safety improvements at the intersection of North Bend Way and Thrasher Avenue.
Temporary lane closures will occur as construction progresses. The City anticipates the sidewalk and adjacent asphalt trail will be open for use by mid-October.
