The North Bend Theatre’s Guide to the Rocky Horror Picture Show

First-time experiencing Rocky? Or your tenth? Don’t worry, you couldn’t find a better place to indulge than the North Bend Theatre.

The cult film follows a newly engaged couple whose car breaks down during a rainstorm, and they seek shelter at a mysterious mansion. There, they meet the flamboyant Dr. Frank-N-Furter and his peculiar household and get swept up in a night of outrageous musical chaos and revelry.

You’ll find style, spectacle, and an extraordinary shadow cast that will make your evening unforgettable.  Your Rocky Horror experience will rank among your best memories.

Doors open wide at 8:00 PM on both Friday and Saturday night. When you arrive, expect a warm welcome, admiration of your incredible costume, and a rising sense of anticipation.

As you walk through those doors, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the world’s best shadow cast in full costume. This is the room where it happens. You can now give yourself over to total pleasure.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel fabulous. Fishnets, corsets, glitter, leather, pajamas, or full-on lab gear. There’s no dress code, just attitude.  If it struts or screams, “I’m ready to Time Warp,” you’re doing it right.

 What should I bring?

A little song, a little dance, a set of fishnets instead of pants.  That’s about it. Oh, don’t forget your hips, preferably loose. They are required for proper execution of the Time Warp dance, which you’ll be dancing for the first time…again.

Your show ticket includes all you need to survive with the essential props:

  • Toast
  • Rice
  • Newspaper
  • Rubber gloves
  • Playing cards
  • Confetti
  • Noise makers
  • Toilet paper
  • Participation cues sheet

What should I do?

Perform the rituals! It’s a cult movie after all. Don’t worry if you have no inkling what they are. Follow the lead of the shadow cast.  They know all. They will even have a special ceremony just for the Rocky Horror virgins.  It’s painless, mostly.

And now let’s jump to the left …
