As part of the City’s ongoing Road Maintenance and Repair efforts, SE Fir Street will temporarily close to vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The closure, which affects the section between Railroad Ave/SR 202 and Maple Ave SE, will allow contractor crews to apply a slurry seal to the roadway. This treatment is essential for extending the life of the pavement and ensuring it has adequate time to dry and cure.
Residents with driveways along SE Fir Street can utilize the public parking lot on Railroad Ave/SR 202 and access their homes via the sidewalks. During the closure, drivers are encouraged to use SE Northern Street and SE King Street as alternate routes.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as these necessary improvements are made.
