Have you noticed work occurring alongside North Bend Way between Cedar Falls Way and Maloney Grove Ave? It’s a project that will soon make walking and biking even easier and safer near downtown North Bend.
With funding from Si View Park’s 2018 voter approved Capital Bond, the City has partnered to help facilitate the Tanner Trail Connection project.
The approximate $215,000 project will install one of the missing segments of the Tanner Trail between the Cedar Falls Way roundabout and Maloney Grove Ave near the North Bend Fire Station. Construction began in late August and is expected to be completed in late October.
The new paved pathway segment will be approximately 10-feet wide and separated from North Bend Way, providing plenty of space for pedestrians and bicyclists. It will connect to the existing paved path that runs from Maloney Grove Ave eastward along North Bend Way.
The Tanner Trail Connection project continues advancing the goal of a connected city trail network that provides safe pedestrian access between points of interest throughout the city, the Si View Parks District and neighborhoods.
