Empower Youth Network recognizes that youth are central to the community, and that families and the broader community play a vital role in helping them grow up healthy, safe, and successful.
The organization’s It Starts With You campaign was created to prompt meaningful conversations and provide resources that support stronger relationships with youth. Each year, Empower Youth Network conducts a community survey to better understand local perceptions on youth substance use and to learn more about conversations already happening in homes and across the community.
The insights gathered help shape future youth substance use prevention efforts, strengthen positive community norms in the Snoqualmie Valley, and guide the resources provided to families and communities.
This year, Empower Youth Network aims to collect at least 100 survey responses from across the Snoqualmie Valley, reflecting the full diversity of the region. The survey is available online in both English and Spanish, and printed copies are available at KCLS library branches in Duvall, Carnation, Fall City, Snoqualmie, and North Bend.
It takes about five minutes to complete, and each response makes a meaningful difference. The survey closes on Friday, November 14, 2025.
