Final Update: Sunday Night Multiple Car Collision Westbound I90 Near Issaquah Closes I-90

Update 11:55 pm: All lanes of WB I-90 near Issaquah have cleared after an earlier multi-vehicle crash.

Update 9:24 pm: WSDOT does not have an ETA for when Westbound I-90 will reopen following a multi-vehicle crash. First responders are working as quickly as possible so the roadway can reopen.

Update 8:30 pm: All Westbound lanes of I-90 remain closed after a multi-car collision. Westbound traffic is being diverted at High Point Way (exit 20) to SR 18.

According to the Washington State Patrol, there were four cars involved. It appears a vehicle eastbound was struck and crossed into the westbound lanes hitting another.

The driver of a vehicle on the eastbound side is in custody for suspected impairment. Causing driver has not been determined yet.

Original Story

On I-90 westbound just east of Sunset Way at milepost 19, there is a collision blocking all lanes.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Medical Aid, Fire Assistance, and the Incident Response Team have arrived on the scene.

There is a large law enforcement and fire response to this scene. Five vehicles are involved, all lanes are blocked at this time, and extrication is required on at least one patient. Two patients were transported to area hospitals.

Witnesses report debris on the Eastbound and Westbound lanes. Avoid the area.
