Here’s a preview of the construction zones that will add time to your trip from North Bend to Vantage and an update on rock blasting.
I-90 near Snoqualmie Summit
There is a traffic revision on eastbound I-90, 11 miles east of North Bend. Two lanes are open. Either take the ramp at exit 45 as it reconnects to the highway or stay on the mainline. Please slow down and pay attention. Crews are repairing a bridge deck.
This traffic revision will remain in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week until September. Plan for added travel time, especially on Fridays. Here is a short video explaining the traffic in that section.

NEW: I-90 across the Vantage Bridge
All lanes on I-90 across the Vantage Bridge will be open from Thursday, July 3, through Tuesday, July 8. Starting Wednesday, July 9, traffic will return to one lane in each direction until the Labor Day weekend—plan for delays due to events across the state.
NEW: I-90 rock blasting near Easton
A one-hour closure for rock blasting is planned for Thursday, July 10th, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Traffic will be stopped in both directions at the Cabin Creek interchange (milepost 63) and the west Easton interchange (milepost 70). This is the only rock blasting closure planned for 2025 at this time; however, if additional blasts are required, advance notification will be provided.
With construction projects, traffic revisions, and a scheduled rock blast all impacting I-90 travel this summer, drivers should plan ahead and expect delays, particularly around holiday weekends. Stay alert in work zones, follow detour signs, and check current travel conditions before heading out to help ensure a safer and less stressful trip across the state.
