From Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3, a portion of Stilson Avenue SE near the intersection of North Bend Way, Stilson Ave SE, and SE Mt Si Road will close daily, Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with limited work on Fridays.
This closure is required as part of the Sallal Water Association’s Water Main Replacement Project, in which crews replace an aging water main that has outlived its lifespan. Contractor crews are replacing 1670 feet of 8-inch Asbestos Cement (AC) pipe with 8-inch Ductile Iron (DI) pipe and 390 feet of 8-inch AC pipe with 12-inch DI pipe.
Water main replacement is a crucial component of maintaining and improving local infrastructure, reducing system distribution leakage, and ensuring water quality.

In addition to the closure of a portion of Stilson Ave SE, this work requires intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The project includes approximately 200 feet south on Stilson Ave SE to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail crossing at Mt Si Rd, and approximately 200 feet beyond the intersection on both sides of North Bend Way.
Drivers should expect traffic control during traffic interruptions.
The project requires 50 working days and is likely to wrap up in mid-to-late May 2026. Work is weather-dependent. Questions can be emailed to admin@sallal.com. Learn about the member-owned water co-op, Sallal Water Association, by visiting www.sallal.com.
