SR 18 Traffic to Alternate Overnight December 7 for Road Work Near Tiger Mountain

To improve nighttime driving, a portion of eastbound State Route 18 will close from 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, between Deep Creek and Lake Creek, just east of the Tiger Mountain summit. Flaggers will alternate traffic through a single lane while construction crews assess lane striping visibility.

This work was rescheduled from last week.

As highway widening progresses, Aecon, working for the Washington State Department of Transportation, also improves the existing roadway by resurfacing rough sections, filling potholes and restriping lane lines as needed.

I-90 lane reductions

Approaching the Interstate 90/SR 18 interchange, people continue to see increased activity on I-90 as crews build the diverging diamond interchange.

From 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, travelers can expect intermittent single-lane and shoulder reductions on eastbound and westbound I-90 near the interchange as crews conduct a variety of construction activities.
