On Monday night Snoqualmie Valley SD officials announced a two-hour delay for schools on February 5th, but by early Tuesday morning officials decided to keep all schools closed for the day.
The districts said the decision was made due to “icy road conditions and concerns for building heating/power.” Temperatures were in the teens early Tuesday morning and high temps are only expected to reach the low 30’s.
The geographically large school district – which stretches from Snoqualmie to Ames Lake – picked up anywhere from 6 inches to nearly a foot of snow in Monday’s snow event.
Happy Snow Day 2.0 kids!
