Monday’s big snow fall in the Snoqualmie Valley has altered garbage pick ups in North Bend and Snoqualmie. If you put out your garbage on Tuesday and it doesn’t get picked up, these are the reasons why and when your next pick up will happen.
In North Bend, Republic Services suspended all pick ups for Monday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 5th due to snow and icy road conditions. Customers who were missed can put out double loads on their next scheduled pick up day at no additional charge.
In Snoqualmie, Waste Management also cancelled Monday’s pick ups, but to catch up, they have delayed collection days this week by one day. That means if you were missed on Monday, they will pick up your garbage Tuesday. Tuesday pick ups then shift to Wednesday and so on for the remainder of this week.
Also for Snoqualmie WM customers: if you live on a steep hill, the city asks you to put your garbage out for Tuesday’s collection, but if it is not picked up, put out a double load next week on your scheduled collection day at no extra charge. WM is unsure if they can service steep hills due to safety concerns. Note: there will also be no yard waste pick up on Tuesday, February 5th, but double loads will be collected next week.
Happy Snow Day, Snoqualmie Valley.
