There are two big events happening at Snoqualmie’s two biggest parks tomorrow, Saturday, April 16th. If you are looking for a quiet park day, you may want to avoid Snoqualmie Community Park and Centennial Fields tomorrow.
The new Snoqualmie Valley YMCA is hosting its annual Healthy Kids Day event at Snoqualmie Community Park – located at 35016 SE Ridge Street in the heart of Snoqualmie Ridge. The event runs from 10AM to 1PM. For more event details you can visit my previous story here. Many local businesses are participating in our community’s inaugural Healthy Kids Day. My favorite exercise guru, Kelly Saunders, will demonstrate Zumba. Mt Si High School Cheerleaders will also participate. For a complete list of participating vendors click here: Flier.
Down at Centennial Fields, at 39903 SE Park Street, Falls Little League Baseball Jamboree will be in full swing. The event begins in early morning with pictures for all little league teams – from t-ball to majors divisions – and runs through late afternoon. Also included is the Jamboree Parade and older division baseball and softball games on each of Centennial’s three fields.
So again, if you are looking for a quiet afternoon at one of Snoqualmie’s biggest parks, tomorrow may not be your day. Both parks are set to be packed, with traffic and parking tight. Weather is predicted to start drying out over the weekend, making for a better outdoor day than the valley has seen in quite a while. Dare I even say, “possible sunbreaks?” Just in case, dig out those dusty sunglasses!
Happy Weekend Snoqualmie!
