Snoqualmie Valley Women in Leadership (SVWL) recently announced registration is open for its first annual Leadership Resilience and Impact Retreat, being held on October 14 from 8:30 am-4 pm at the Cherry Creek Falls Event Center in Duvall, Wash.
The retreat will offer workshops, round-table discussions, and presentations exploring how resiliency can buoy a leader’s journey and help make a deeper impact on a leader’s workplace and community.
“Being a leader right now comes with a host of new challenges, including managing hybrid or remote work, being asked to do more with less, the frenzy that comes with changing technology and the ever-present pressures of work-life balance. These all put significant pressure and strain on our lives as leaders,” says Wendy Parslow, SVWL founder. “This retreat is designed to help women leaders navigate those challenges, find their resilience, and make lasting positive impact.”
SVWL launched in January and serves women living in the Snoqualmie Valley who are in (or aspire to be in) positions of influence and leadership. The group helps women leaders connect, grow and be supported in their leadership journey through its local Connection Gatherings, workshops, book clubs, virtual meetups and the annual leadership retreat.
“The number and variety of women leaders living in Snoqualmie Valley is impressive,” continues Parslow. “There are corporate leaders, community leaders and business owners. SVWL has a solid line-up of events set for this fall, and we encourage more women to join us.”
