Wednesday’s powerful winds resulted in many power outages and extensive damage to the Snoqualmie Valley’s electrical system. Wind gusts of more than 60 mph, along with rain-saturated soil, resulted in fallen trees and damage to poles and power lines.
Tanner Electric and PSE crews made significant progress overnight, with many customers restored in the hard-hit areas of Snoqualmie and North Bend.
As of early this morning, Puget Sound Energy reports the following numbers of customers still waiting for power to be restored:
- North Bend 226
- Snoqualmie 216
- Fall City 2157
- Preston 979
PSE shows an average restoration time of 6 pm today, January 14th, for customers. Tanner Electric is showing all customers restored as of this morning.
King County Road Services shows only two road closures due to storm damage:
- SE 53rd Way/396 Dr SE between Tokul Rd SE and SE 70thDr- trees down
- SE 24th St between West Snoqualmie River Rd SE and 309th Ave SE-water over roadway
Lastly, due to power outages, Chief Kanim Middle School, Fall City Elementary, and the 6-8 Online Learning Program will have Asynchronous Learning today. No in-person services at CKMS today. Please see the district website for details.
I can personally say Tmobile and Comcast are now working in my neck of the woods, but what’s happening where you are?
A BIG thanks to all the power crews who worked so tirelessly over the last 36 hours to get us all back up and running!
