The scenic Snoqualmie Valley Trail, renowned for its picturesque views of agricultural valleys, family farmsteads, the North Fork Snoqualmie River, and diverse wildlife, will be closed for construction from August 2 to October 30.
This closure, affecting the stretch between NE 24th/Langlois and NE 32nd St near Remlinger Farms, is necessary to replace a salmon barrier culvert. Unfortunately, no detour will be available during this period.
Situated just 30 minutes from urban centers, the Snoqualmie Valley Trail offers a tranquil escape through working farmlands and preserved open spaces. It connects to the Palouse to Cascades Trail in Iron Horse State Park, which spans the length of Washington State. Key attractions along the trail include Tolt-MacDonald Park, Meadowbrook Farm, Three Forks Natural Area, and the iconic Tokul Trestle.
This essential project is funded by the WA State RCO Brian Abott Fish Barrier Removal Board Grant, King County Flood Control District Cooperative Watershed Management Grant, and the Flood Reduction Fund. The community’s patience and understanding during the closure are greatly appreciated.
