Snoqualmie Valley Educators of the Year Announced

On Thursday, February 26, 2015, Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation board members made their annual stealth trip into local schools to surprise the 2015 Educator of Year recipients.  Balloons and cupcakes greeted this year’s Educators of the Year as they were told the big news.

Winners were nominated by parents, students, staff and community members in an effort to recognize outstanding teachers and staff members in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.

2015 SVSF Educators of the Year are:

  • Karen Seiser, North Bend Elementary Secretary – Classified Educator of the Year
  • Tony Canady, Mount Si Language Arts teacher – High School Educator of the Year
  • Renee Gray, Chief Kanim Language Arts teacher – Middle School Educator of the Year
  • Melanie Christian, Snoqualmie Elementary 3rd Grade teacher – Elementary School Educator of the Year

This year’s winners will be honored at the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation Annual Fundraising Luncheon March 19, at the TCP Snoqualmie Ridge.

The Luncheon is the main fundraiser for the Foundation, which works to support classroom education grants and district initiatives for all Snoqualmie Valley Students.
